Suitcase Girl

| No TrackBacks

Having lived in South Florida for a dozen or so years before moving to Brazil, it wasn't a big surprise to read the story called "Playboy pinup arrives to testify on suitcase cash" about a woman named Ms. Telpuk, a Buenos Aires Policewoman, come Playboy Bunny, found a suitcase filled with money:

Telpuk is known as the ''suitcase girl'' in her native Argentina. She is in Miami to testify in federal court about the alleged coverup of an international scandal that involves the United States, Argentina, Venezuela, and a suitcase full of $800,000 in unexplained cash.

Apparently the $800,000 USD in new fifty dollar U.S. bills was a gift from leftist Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez to the presidential campaign in Argentina of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, an ally. Interesting choice of gifts, one would think...

Read of whole the story in the Miami Herald.
